John Paul II Pedophile Priests Army expands into Ireland &John Paul is elevated as "Venerable"... only in the Catholic Church are criminals glorified

In the United States, someone who aids and abets a criminal becomes a criminal as well, is considered to have been a party to the offence, and is punishable by jail time. John Paul II aided and abetted his John Paul II Pedophile Priests Army here for more than 26 years http://jp2army.blogspot.com/ . His cover-up of the JP2 Army was first revealed in 2002. It happened on his way to his last World Youth Day in North America. Boston was erupting with priest-pedophilia and our priests and laity demanded the resignation of Cardinal Bernard Law. We succeeded. Cardinal Law resigned in shame. He was the first Cardinal in modern time forced to resign by his own priests and us the laity. But John Paul II, to spite us Bostonians, and to prove that he is more powerful than us, promoted Law as Archpriest in the most prestigious basilica in Rome, St. Mary Major. John Paul II glorified Cardinal Law, the criminal who aided and abetted the pedophile priests of Boston became an Archpriest. Only in the Catholic Church are criminals glorified.

Today Benedict XVI is following his predecessor’s footsteps. In the wake of the John Paul II Pedophile Priests Army revelations in Ireland, he elevates John Paul II as “Venerable”. This means that John Paul II’s image and statues can be placed in churches worldwide and that he is recognized to have lived the Christian virtues as a hero. Go figure, John Paul II is a hero for leading his John Paul II Pedophohile Priests Army for 26 years in America, and now in Ireland? Only in the Catholic Church are criminals glorified. Only in the "one, holy, catholic and apostolic church" are criminals elevated to sainthood!

John Paul II's road to sainthood is one of the fastest on record. It started immediately one month after he died. He became “Venerable” only after 5 years after his death. The traditional road to sainthood usually takes 10 times longer, 50 years, for some, 400 years for some like Mary Ward who will be canonized next year, imagine after 400 years! The criminal John Paul II is going to be beatified soon. If we Americans have any moral conscience left towards our most vulnerable members which are the children, no American should ever call John Paul II as a “Blessed” or “saint”. John Paul II he had no compassion nor compunction whatsoever for the 12, 000 American victims, and now Irish victims of his John Paul II Pedophile Priests Army. John Paul II did not have the charity of Mother Teresa http://jp2m.blogspot.com/2009/11/john-paul-ii-did-not-have-charity-of.html and Benedict XVI’s papal act elevating John Paul II as "Venerable" is “brought to nothing” by St. Paul http://pope-ratz.blogspot.com/2009/12/benedict-approved-decree-attesting-to.html. Most of all, Benedict XVI has no power to say “Let there be God” in the Eucharist just like he has no power to say “Let there be light” in Genesis http://pope-ratz.blogspot.com/2009/12/benedict-xvi-has-no-power-to-say-let.html

John Allen (defender of the Vatican Trinity,i.e. John Paul II, Benedict XVI and Opus Dei) surreptitiously undermine SNAP's financial campaign

During the peak of Cardinal Mahoney’s $600 Million pay-off to victims of the John Paul II Pedophile Priests Army in Los Angeles, there were many giant octopus that were washed ashore the beach near Los Angeles. John Allen was praising Cardinal Mahony and no priests dared to ask for Mahony's resignation (unlike our bold priests in Boston who ousted Cardinal Law). We revealed that John Allen is one of the tentacles of Octopus Dei http://jp2m.blogspot.com/2008/07/opus-dei-pope-john-paul-ii-insult-our.html, and, he is at it again. This time he is secretly and subtly knocking down the financial campaigns by SNAP and Voice of the Desert "to stop donating to the Catholic Church and donate to charity instead".

John Allen, the author par excellence of the book Opus Dei (the only book approved by OD), has become such an expert about the Vatican that we must read in-between the lines about what he reports on because he is an agent of the Opus Dei World Domination Agenda. If Opus Dei member Robert Hanssen was able to be so secretive and slimy so as to become the United States worst spy agent (true story of the greatest security breach in U.S. history), John Allen is the Robert Hanssen of the Catholic Church and we cannot trust his secretive slimy journalism (see our post December 19, 2009 about Hanssen and Opus Dei http://jp2m.blogspot.com/2009/12/john-paul-ii-in-movies-and-breach.html

Less we forget, John Allen was the one who broke the news about Benedict XVI's first "apology" for priest-pedophilia over 'coffee' with him inside the papal airplane to the USA, a few minutes before it landed. Imagine, Benedict XVI expresses apology over coffee inside an airplane - for the first time - through John Allen. A papal apology for the worst crime against American children is dealt with over coffee via John Allen! It’s beyond ridiculous and preposterous! Do you recall, folks, Benedict XVI's 81st birthday bash in Washington DC?

Oh, and Benedict XVI celebrated Mass at the Yankee stadium distributing the « real flesh of Christ » to 60,000 thousand Catholics, see our post : Benedict XVI has no power to say « Let there be God » in the Eucharist just like he has no power to say « Let there be light » in Genesis http://pope-ratz.blogspot.com/2009/12/benedict-xvi-has-no-power-to-say-let.html (but he won’t celebrate one single Mass with the Jesuits during their General Congregation, a few steps near the Vatican).

Now, now, see, how John Allen defends the money of the richest institution on the planet, the Vatican, in a strategy to counter-attack all the campaigns "to stop donating to the church and donate to charity instead" by SNAP and Voice of the Desert. Read these articles below, it is now the subtle war-of-words by John Allen against SNAP and Voice of the Desert. See the hidden agenda of John Allen in defence of the Vatican and as an agent of the Opus Dei. Opus Dei controlled the 26 years papacy of John Paul II and because of them, the victims of priest pedophilia were totally swept under the Vatican rug. And John Allen never spoke-up for the victims of the John Paul II Pedophile Priests Army http://jp2army.blogspot.com/

John Allen has the shamelessness to use the University of Notre Dame as his example. Why UND? Because the Opus Dei has its evil eye to make a hostile take-over of this university through its Board of Directors members of Opus Dei...just like they have their Octopus Dei-eyes on all the 28 Jesuit universities in the United States, and for that matter the Gregorian University in Rome and all Jesuit Universities in the World. Opus Dei has an obsession to overpower the Jesuits and they will use all their Octopus Dei ways to suppress the Jesuits like the Popes during the Jesuit Suppression. And Opus Dei is in a hurry to beatify and canonize John Paul II because he and St. Josemaria Escriva are wedded blissfully in their Mystical Marriage see http://jp2m.blogspot.com/2007/10/john-paul-ii-opus-dei-da-vinci-code.html

John Allen's propaganda for the Vatican is very timely, December 9, 2009.
Voice of the Desert's campaign was November 27, 2009
SNAP's campaign was November 23, 2009 (among others)

And we revealed that the Vatican is being investigated for money laundering on December 14, 2009. The Italian government announced its investigation on the Vatican Bank on December 7, 2009, and therefore John Allen had to write his deceitful article in defense of the Vatican finances on December 9, 2009 in an attempt to undermine the Italian government's investigation.

John Allen the Robert Hanssen of the Catholic Church is at it again: SNAP and all Catholics fighting for justice, be aware and be wary about what he writes because we the laity cannot trust him just like the US government couldn't trust Hanssen!

Here are the web links and below are the full articles. Read closely folks, there is now the Vatican Trinity: John Paul II, Benedict XVI and the Opus Dei who controls these papacies and the Vatican. And John Allen, author of Opus Dei, is one of their best spy and messenger! Somebody has to expose them and we will continue to do so because of the imminent beatification of John Paul II -- No American child should pray to "saint" John Paul II who was responsible for the bestial-sodomy-feasts of his John Paul II Pedophile Priests Army.

John Paul II did not have the charity of Mother Teresa

“STOP DONATING MONEY TO THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH IMMEDIATELY”

27 Nov 2009
http://reform-network.net/?p=2403

I received the following media release from Rev. Bob Hoatson of Road to Recovery today, 11.27.2009.
I agree with Bob’s call to action to stop donating money.

MEDIA RELEASE

STOP FEEDING THE BEAST

In light of the release of the “Murphy Report” on child sex abuse in the Archdiocese of Dublin, Ireland, Road to Recovery, Inc., a New Jersey-based non-profit organization that assists clergy abuse survivors with their recoveries from abuse, calls on all Catholics to withhold contributions from their Church until Popes, Cardinals, Archbishops, Bishops, and other Church authorities who covered-up and enabled the serial abuse of children worldwide RESIGN, ARE REMOVED, ARE INDICTED, AND/OR ARE IMPRISONED.

When Cardinal Bernard Law resigned as Archbishop of Boston, he was whisked to Rome to avoid being held accountable for the massive cover-up of Boston Archdiocese abuse. Nations throughout the world, like Ireland, must not allow church officials to flee their countries with immunity, and Catholics worldwide must stop donating to the criminal enterprise known as the Roman Catholic Church. Catholics, who withheld contributions temporarily around 2003, must stop donating again…permanently.

Road to Recovery calls on all Catholics to:

STOP DONATING MONEY TO THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH IMMEDIATELY

Instead, we urge all donations be sent to organizations such as Road to Recovery and other “survivor supporter” organizations where they will be used to assist innocent victims of abusive priests and their enablers. Or, we ask that Catholics direct their donations and assistance to their neighbors who have been harmed by local parish priests, brothers, and nuns.

November 28, 2009 at 1:38 am I agree and will stop all donations at once and that includes priest friends and their ministries. There are deserving non catholic charities who I can send my money to. I will also inform “Bishop” Olmsted of that here in Phoenix.
2. Arthur Baselice Says:
November 28, 2009 at 2:09 pm I agree and have stopped attending a church that enables, protects and covers up ‘ ABUSE” how could anyone with any sense of right and wrong support an orginazation that engages in this type of behavior and then has the aggorgance to claim they represent “GOD”?
3. Thomas Says:
November 29, 2009 at 4:25 am I think that we all agree, that the loss of funds is the only thing that hierarchy understands—and since our Church is no longer poor—ask yourself, “what would Jesus do?” And then do it for HIM.

“Send the Bishops a Message news conferences in Chicago and L.A., Monday, Nov. 10th”

Nov. 7, 2008

Send the Bishops a Message will hold sidewalk news conferences in Chicago and Los Angeles on Monday, November 10th. Here are the notices announcing the news conferences:

Notice of Chicago Sidewalk News Conference on November 10th
Chicago — Nov 7, 2008 –

New Catholic group urges parishioners “Stop Donating”

It decries continuing protection of pedophile priests by bishops

Lay people must use “power of the purse” to “force real reform”

Ongoing secrecy in Church finances is basically “taxation without representation”

Nov. 16th is first international “Withholding Sunday”

WHAT

Holding signs at a sidewalk news conference, Catholics will prod fellow parishioners to withhold financial donations on November 16th which will be the first nationwide, indeed worldwide Withholding Sunday, to send the bishops a message that irresponsibility and secrecy will no longer be tolerated

WHEN

Monday, Nov 10, 11:00 a.m.

WHERE

Outside Chicago archdiocesan headquarters, 155 East Superior, in downtown Chicago

WHO

Three-four members of a new organization called “Send the Bishops a Message” (http://www.sendthebishopsamessage.com) and supporters from SNAP, the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests (SNAPnetwork.org) ; the Catholic reform group Voice of the Faithful (VOTF.org); We Are Catholics (wearecatholics.com); and the Coalition of Concerned Catholics.

WHY

Reasons we are taking this action:

· The ongoing failure of Catholic Church officials to protect our children from dangerous clerical predators

· The bishops’ failure to provide acceptable levels of stewardship for our hard-earned donations

· The refusal of Church officials to accept responsibility for their grave moral failures in the clergy sex abuse crisis. They repeatedly “apologize,” but neither admit to covering up sex crimes against children nor accept their part in the grave scandal brought down upon Catholics everywhere.

· After almost 6 years since the Dallas Charter of 2002, we are still witnessing high-level Church officials protecting both clerical sexual predators and those who shield these predators

· Chicago’s Cardinal Francis George, the current head of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), refused to follow his own sex abuse review board’s recommendation that he, George, suspend a priest, Fr, Dan Mc Cormack, who had been arrested for sexual abuse of a minor. Three months after Cardinal George’s refusal to act against Fr. McCormack, this priest molested at least three more boys in Chicago’s inner city. One of the children, prosecutors say, had been assaulted “on an almost daily” basis.

· Catholics have no elections, recall procedures, or impeachment processes that allow them to replace those who have cost parishioners so much. Withholding donations is the best way for a disenfranchised laity to send, with one voice, a message to church officials in the only language they understand–MONEY!

Clergy sex abuse victims blast church

KC-based denomination blames child victims for their abuse
Legal move is “mean spirited” & “designed to intimidate,” group says

SNAP to church officials: “Reach out to, not lash out at, children who’ve been hurt”
“Have you learned nothing from the on-going Catholic sex scandal?” victims challenge church

WHAT
Holding signs and childhood photos at a sidewalk news conference, clergy sex abuse victims will
-- harshly criticize a KC-based national church organization for filing court papers that blame children who were molested for their own abuse,
-- call on church members to stop donating to the denomination until the hardball legal tactics stop, and
-- beg anyone who saw, suspected or suffer child sex crimes or cover ups in the church group to call police and get help

WHEN
Monday, Nov. 23, 11:30 am

WHERE
Outside the Church of the Nazarene Headquarters, at 6401 Paseo Blvd (corner of Meyer & 63rd. st.) in Kansas City, MO (816-333-7000)

WHO
Three members of a support group called SNAP (the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests, SNAPnetwork.org)

WHY
Last year, five girls (three from Oklahoma and one from Louisiana) filed a civil child sex abuse and cover up lawsuit seeking unspecified damage against men and institutions with the KC-based Church of the Nazarene. In response, church officials have filed court papers charging that, to some degree, the girls are to blame for their own victimization. SNAP calls the legal maneuver “outrageous and immoral.” The self help group believes that church officials will likely stop exploiting such harsh tactics if church members withhold donations in protest.

Starting around 2000, the girls were reportedly “sexually molested, abused, fondled and inappropriately touched” by their children's pastor, Ryan Wonderly in an Oklahoma City suburb. Wonderly attended Southern Nazarene University (SNU) and admitted to an SNU staffer named Lynn Sims that he had problems with child porn, according to the lawsuit. Instead of helping, suspending or expelling Wonderly, SNU officials permitted him to continue on as an intern children's pastor at Bethany First Church of the Nazarene across the street. Church members and employees there repeatedly reported suspicious and inappropriate behavior and touching by Wonderly to higher ups, but little was done. Police arrested Wonderly in 2004. He is now behind bars, having been sentenced to 35 years.

Wonderly also reportedly worked at a church camp where children from 22 counties from northwest Oklahoma attended each year.

Defendants include 4 church institutions (the Nazarene General Board, the church’s Northwest Oklahoma District, Southern Nazarene University, and Bethany First Church of the Nazarene) and 4 individuals (Doug Forsberg, Lewis McClain, Harold “Melvin” McCullough, Preston “Lynn” Sims).

The church’s district office is in Oklahoma City.
The congregation (405-789-2050) and the university are in Bethany (405-789-6400). Three of the defendants live in Oklahoma (McClain in Bethany, Forsberg in Yukon, and Sims in Oklahoma City) and one (McCullough) lives in Missouri (in Johnson County, suburban Kansas City).

The lawsuit was filed in May 2008 in Oklahoma County, OK (Case No. CJ 2008 3689). The court clerk is Patricia Presley.

CNN to ponder faith and money
By John L Allen Jr
Created Dec 09, 2009
http://ncronline.org/blogs/future-church/cnn-ponder-faith-and-money

I’m in New York this week, with part of the agenda being to tape a panel discussion for an upcoming CNN special on “Faith and Money.” The program is hosted by Christine Romans, and is scheduled to air on Dec. 19. (Coincidentally, that’s the last day of Hanukkah this year.)

I don't identify money management as a self-standing trend in The Future Church, but it's hard to imagine much of a future for any religious enterprise if it's broke. As the saying goes, the love of money may be the root of all evil ... but you sure do miss the money when it's gone.

The CNN program covers a vast range of topics, from the economics of Mega-churches (a segment driven by an interview with Joel Osteen) to the effect of church money on American politics. I was part of a panel devoted to trying to gauge the impact of the economic crisis on religious groups around the country.

Without stealing the show’s thunder, I can briefly summarize three points I tried to make:

First, religion may be the only industry in America whose bottom line actually suffers when demand goes up, and that’s exactly the current situation. Demand for charitable help is spiking, with record numbers of people asking for assistance with food, medicine, emergency shelter, and rent and mortgage payments. At the same time, revenue for many religious groups is down. In the Catholic world, parishes are reporting slight drop-offs in weekly collections (one estimate pegs the national average at five percent), while income from major foundations and investments is down on the order of 20 to 35 percent. As a result, many religious groups are now between a rock and a hard place.

It’s worth bearing in mind that there’s been no TARP program and no bail-out for non-profit groups in America, despite the fact that they’re our last line of defense when times get tough. When the public safety net breaks down, and when families can’t provide care, it’s non-profit groups, especially faith-based groups, that step into the gap, and many right now are struggling. (The not-for-profit sector, by the way, also represents 11 percent of all jobs in America.) All this, perhaps, represents an extra reason for Americans to try to be generous in their support of non-profit and faith-based charities.

Second, impressions of vast wealth in the Catholic church, perhaps especially the Vatican, are more myth than reality. As I’ve pointed out many times, the annual budget of the Vatican is about $300 million, while the University of Notre Dame by itself has a budget of over $1 billion. That means Notre Dame could fund the Vatican three times ever year and still have money left over for new football uniforms!

As a result, there are no bags of cash sitting in the basement of the Apostolic Palace in Rome that could be shipped off to the United States (or anywhere else) to help local churches out when money is tight.

Third, dollars are cents are perhaps the single clearest example of how external impressions of Catholicism as highly centralized and rigidly controlled break down.

The Catholic church isn’t Wal-Mart, where even the temperature level in individual stores is controlled by a central computer in Arkansas. Not only are the financial decisions of individual dioceses made autonomously, but most often that’s the case parish-to-parish. Even within parishes, sometimes the most elementary financial controls are missing.

If that weren’t the case, it’s hard to imagine how two priests in Florida could have been recently busted for skimming almost $9 million in parish money to fund trips to Las Vegas, or how the District Attorney in Buffalo, New York, could have prosecuted six embezzlement cases in Catholic parishes since 2005 alone, with the grand total exceeding $2 million.

Right now, however, two forces may be pushing the Catholic church toward greater coordination of its financial life.

One is the desire to get a handle on misappropriation. A Villanova study recently found that 85 percent of parishes that responded to a questionnaire reported some problem with embezzlement in the last five years, and that reality is leading a number of pastors and bishops to try to strengthen controls.

The other is the opportunity cost produced by a lack of coordination. The National Leadership Roundtable on Church Management recently calculated that if you add up all the Catholic parishes and dioceses in America, they have a total purchasing power of some $105 billion – nearly twice that of Home Depot. By coordinating its buying activity, the church could theoretically achieve some impressive economies of scale.

If nothing else, I hope that whets the appetite for the Dec. 19 CNN special, which considers not just the Catholic situation but the entire gamut of American religion and its relationship with the “almighty dollar.”

Dear John.
Your comment on this CNN inquiry into on the wealth of the churches and their co-option into the "almighty dollar" theology of American life is interesting. You seem to apologize for the wealth of the Vatican, on the grounds that the Vatican's assets are relatively small in comparison to other corporations. Does this indicate that you support a theology of the Catholic Church's mission in contemporary North American society that is loth to challenge its status as a corporation that has invested its financial assets in the status quo to such an extent that it is now inextricably part of the 'realpolitik' of corporate life? If so, I wonder how this view would stand up to the market economics of the early church as recorded in the Acts of the Apostles, Chapter 5: vv. 1-11. Ananias and Sapphira are struck dead for - abortion? sex? - no! - because of not sharing their wealth, and about how much they had lied about their profits from their investments so that they could retain control over a part of their assets.

How many times in Sunday services do we hear semons preached on this passage from Acts? Food for thought for all of us in the North American church....

John,
It is my hope that somebody in the group discussed the terrible waste of money hiring lawyers to prevent documents from being released - even after the diocese's pedifile cases had been settled - Mostly to protect some Cardinal (be him from LA or NY) from embarrassment. And this does not even consider the money used to hide the truth rather than treat the victims.

I now give very careful consideration of how and to whom I make charitable contributions. The diocese in Maine went out to the US Church to support the opposition to CIVIL gay marriage. As a result of election laws I read that Bishop D'Arcy sent $1000.00 of 'my' contribution to support this cause. How much 'Catholic' money was spent in CA to defeat Prop 8?

We are also 'expected' to contribute to the current Inquisition of Nuns - another denigration of women.

I could go on but you get my drift.

I have no reason to expect any contribution made to a general Church fund to be spent in support of charity so I contribute directly to St Mary's Soup Kitchen in Fort Wayne, our sister parish in Bolivia, other Catholic charities and earmark my parish contributions so that they are not subject to Bishop D/Arcy's Tax.

John Paul II in the movies and the Breach

To make people forget how John Paul II became so ugly in the last 5 years of his life, with saliva flowing out of his mouth like a lapping dog, his back crooked worse than the Hunchback of Notre Dame, speech slurry that it was unaudible, a fallen pope for covering-up his John Paul II Pedophile Priests Army http://jp2army.blogspot.com/ , just like the bright Lucifer who fell from the sky --- Benedict XVI God's Rottweiler http://pope-ratz.blogspot.com/ and the Opus Dei made a special film for him so that people will think he is a Hollywood-looking John Voigt (an irony (or a coincidence) because his daughter Angelina Jolie refuses to see and speak with him for many years now and refuses him to meet his grandchildren, boy he must have really messed up with her big time when she was a child, just like John Paul II messed up big time with the American 12,000 victims of his 6,000 John Paul II Pedophile Priests Army)

These accolades for the movie are disgusting as they are praising John Paul II the Great clashing cymbal of St. Paul http://jp2m.blogspot.com/2009/11/john-paul-ii-great-clashing-cymbal-of.html

John Paul II was an actor par excellence and he acted out the papacy with all the hypocrisy and clashing cymbals the Opus Dei provided him with as they controlled and produced his papacy for 26 years!

“Voight is quite extraordinary. Besides doing a spot-on impersonation of Pope John Paul’s public persona, he ages most convincingly... It’s a heart wrenching portrayal. Pope Benedict XVI attended the world premiere screening and at the conclusion blessed the miniseries - the ultimate endorsement!”
—Harry Forbes, Catholic News Service

“Watching this film has renewed in me a sense of profound gratitude to God for having given the Church and the world a Pope of such an exalted human and spiritual nature.”
—Pope Benedict XVI

"Although shot on a lavish scale in Italy, Poland and elsewhere, 'Pope John Paul II' succeeds on intimate terms even when troops are marching or huge crowds are filling St. Peter's Square, and Elwes and Voight are largely responsible. The movie is honestly and actually about something... It's the ability to instill joy in human hearts, and the film not only celebrates it but, in its finest moments, even possesses it."
—The Washington Post

"Voight stands out... he closely mirrors our image of the pope as a person: that mix of majesty and humility, humor and steel."
—USA Today

Well just to show the powers of Opus Dei and its capabilities, Opus Dei produced the worst American spy ever Robert Hanssen. His capacity for secrecy shows the basic talent of an Opus Dei member for secrecy. See Hanssen in the movie Breach.

Hanssen and Opus Dei

True Story of Opus Dei Supernumerary in Movie "Breach"

Opus Dei Again in Movie Houses

Once again, Opus Dei members will be featured in a new movie entitled "Breach."
Unlike the fictional Da Vinci Code, however, the movie is based on the true story
of convicted FBI spy and Opus Dei supernumerary Robert Hanssen.
Many wonder, how could a seemingly pious, dedicated and hard-working man be at
the heart of one of the worst security breaches in the history of the United States?
The answer can be partly found in the paradoxical nature not only of Hanssen, but also of Opus Dei, both of whom share similarities such as elitism, superiority, secretiveness, intelligence, detachment, and isolation. For an in-depth article on this topic, see below.

"Opus Dei's Secret Revealed: It Takes Spies in From the Cold," by Eugene Kennedy, Religion News Service, 2001. The arrest of accused FBI spy Robert Hanssen shines a spotlight on Opus Dei, the enigmatic Catholic group he belonged to. "This intersection of secret group and secret agent, however, demands that Opus Dei either reveal itself and its operations more fully or find that questions and doubts about it will multiply in the future."

Opus Dei and Hanssen: Masters of Paradox

by Tammy A. DiNicola

When the news media reported that alleged spy Robert Hanssen was a member of Opus Dei back in 2001, many wondered how Hanssen could provide sensitive information to communists, when Opus Dei has always seemed to be so vehemently opposed to communism.

However, on closer examination, the traditional profile we might associate with a spy and the traits common to members of Opus Dei are remarkably similar despite seeming paradoxical. Several words come to mind: elitism, superiority, secretiveness, intelligence, detachment, isolation, fierce loyalty. All of these traits and attributes can generally be found in Opus Dei members as well as spies.

Robert Hanssen began his career in the Chicago Police Department as an internal corruptions investigator, a position that many found difficult as it required "spying" on one's fellow officers. Hanssen then moved on to counterintelligence in the FBI's New York bureau, quickly moving up into privileged positions. Over the years, he was set apart from others in the FBI, where he was noted for his aloofness and distinctive dressing; FBI colleagues nicknamed him "Dr. Death" because of the black suits he wore.

On the outside, Hanssen seemed to be the ideal Catholic: pious and dedicated, a firm parent, a loving husband, a dedicated and thorough worker. Who would ever guess the secret and dark life within? In a similar way, Opus Dei members on the outside can seem pious and dedicated, and as they repeatedly defend to the public, dedicated to living ordinary, godly lives. Yet on closer examination, the reality is that Opus Dei members live in a system that disconnects the actual practices of the group – often manipulative and deceptive - from its lofty ideals – which in the mind justify actions and ways of thinking that would be clearly wrong if taken out of the context of the “higher goal.” (For example, Opus Dei numeraries are required to develop strategies with their directors for drawing potential members closer to Opus Dei, even to the point of manipulating behind the scenes to make a humanly orchestrated plan look like a spontaneous vision from God.) The result is a paradoxical, “Jekyll/Hyde” mentality that justifies abuses for the sake of the higher good.

One might ask, how could a person live in such a way and not see the disparities and the incongruities? The answer is complicated and wrapped up in the complexities of mind control and cult-like totalitarianism, but much is due to the sense of group elitism and superiority, traits almost always associated with totalitarian groups. Regarding Opus Dei members, and in particular numerary members, the lifestyle is so constrained and controlled, the only possible way that it can be lived is to believe that you are living a Divinely inspired vocation to which the rest of the world has not been called yet, or has rejected.

Opus Dei’s founder, Josemaria Escriva, used to teach (in the Way) that members need to do and to disappear -- both spies and members of Opus Dei live a life of setting wrongs right or manipulating the world with information to suit their own ideal of what the world should be like -- and since there is a danger of public opinion disagreeing with you, the most effective manner of operation is in secret. Even with all the exposure brought about by the publicity surrounding the “Da Vinci Code” book and movie, Opus Dei still has not revised its vocation process, which is couched in secrecy and the deliberate withholding of vital information to make an informed choice. (To date, Opus Dei has not admitted to any problems in its vocation process, even though personal testimonies verify its cult-like tendencies.)

This subtle thrill of secretiveness is another common vein between Opus Dei and Hanssen. The approach of always seeming not involved, never admitting or never denying anything, creates a life of mystery. Former members testify of being instructed by Opus Dei superiors that it was acceptable and even advisable under pain of disobedience to practice “mental reservation” when answering direct questions and in some circumstances lying outright regarding internal practices of Opus Dei members. And amid all the rumors that abound, there is a sense of "if they only knew the truth". In turn this feeling of possessing the truth and sharing it in secret with others further leads to the sense of superiority and elitism, while also increasing the isolation of the individual from all that is not of the group. Perhaps this sense of secretiveness and isolation can be attributed to the early years of Opus Dei, when Escriva was forced into hiding during the Spanish Civil War, when priests and religious leaders were routinely executed. Perhaps this experience led to Opus Dei's fiercely secretive nature and the tendency of its members to quietly move into leadership at the Vatican, government, the media, banking and other positions of influence and power.

Hanssen's desires for flattery, passion and "being set apart" are evident in his communications with his Russian spyhandlers. Hanssen described himself as "insanely loyal" in a March 2000 letter, "complaining like a jilted lover when his handlers failed to respond to one of his signal marks -a piece of white adhesive tape on a sign post in Virginia. Flattery and paying tribute are common between spy handlers and their agents.

The life of detachment and isolation -- knowing that you can at least confide in your handler, or Opus Dei director, as the case may be, is very similar to both types of life. The sense that you are not a common person, and so must live these special burdens is there.

The sense of superiority in Opus Dei must have appealed to Hanssen, along with Opus Dei's highly disciplined expectations and detailed regimen. Hanssen was highly critical of the United States in his communications with the Russians, calling it similar to "a powerfully built but retarded child, potentially dangerous but young, immature, and easily manipulated. But don't be fooled by that appearance. It is one which can also turn ingenious quickly, like an idiot savant..."3.

Hanssen felt so disenfranchised about the United States that it justified the double life he led, even to the point of the betrayal of sensitive secrets to communists. The devastation brought about by Hanssen is evident in the fifteen years he acted as a spy; at least two men were executed in Russia as a result of Hanssen's spying, not to mention the compromise of our nation's defense brought about by the release of top secret information.

In a similar way, Opus Dei has also justified its own questionable practices with the result that thousands of former members now struggle with the effects of a cult-like, totalitarian experience. Robert Hanssen now sits in jail, serving a life sentence for treason. With the increased publicity over the last year especially, will Opus Dei ultimately grow and change, taking responsibility for the abuses of the past and taking steps to eliminate them in the present and future? This remains to be seen – though it is my fervent hope and prayer that indeed Opus Dei will realize and amend the hidden problems of its paradoxical nature.

About ODAN

The Opus Dei Awareness Network, Inc. (ODAN) was founded in 1991 to meet the growing demand for accurate information about Opus Dei and to provide education, outreach and support to people who have been adversely affected by Opus Dei. ODAN challenges many of Opus Dei's Questionable Practices because of the way they affect an individual's personal freedom, choices and family life.

Since 1991, ODAN has been in contact with countless individuals, families, the secular and religious press, clergy, religious, cult awareness organizations, campus ministers, home-schooling parents and more.

ODAN is a worldwide community of people who have had painful experiences as a result of their association with Opus Dei.

John Paul II and Tiger Woods : bigger than life one day, sinners like any other the next day

John Paul II and Tiger Woods are rock stars who have fallen into shame. These article apply also for John Paul II. The sins of Tiger Woods are mild compared to the John Paul II Pedophile Priests Army. Tiger's mistresses enjoyed their sexual trysts and money from his billion dollar empire. The John Paul II Pedophile Priests Army enjoyed their sexual bestiality with altar boys while celebrating Mass and enjoyed the cover-up by the almighty popes John Paul II and Benedict XVI. There are churches now being named John Paul II but they are not being disbanded inspite of continous revelations of his John Paul II Pedophile Priests Army now in Ireland. It figures, only in the Catholic Church can "Crime does pay" -- but for priests only...

First Church Disbands, This Web Site Set to Expire

PostDateIcon December 1st, 2009 | PostAuthorIcon Author: jziegler

After several days of evaluation, I have decided to disband the First Church of Tiger Woods (as indicated by the graphics at the top of this web site) and I will not renew the TigerWoodsIsGod domain name when it expires in a couple of months. Any future commentary on this site (which may not happen at all) will be regarding Tiger’s failings in relation to his affair/accident debacle which continues to unfold almost by the hour.

Because the First Church of Tiger Woods has been in existence since late 1996 and this web site has been around since early 2000, you might think that such a decision might be difficult. In this case, it was not. Unfortunately, Tiger Woods has made it all to easy to realize that he is no longer worthy of any special admiration.

The events of the past few days have revealed Tiger to be a serial adulterer, a blatant liar, and a selfish coward. While I am sure I will always respect his ability as a golfer, that was only a very small part of why this much misunderstood web site was created and why it became such a big part of my life.

As I have documented in my columns below, Tiger is clearly no longer deserving of being seen as a role model or a hero and he has needlessly squandered his unique potential to be a positive force in our country and the world. While I am relatively sure that Tiger will make a comeback from this sad episode and that there will be great moments for him in the future, I personally am done with Tiger Woods and I doubt that I will even care very much about whatever else he might achieve on the golf course (for someone who once vowed to make sure he lived until he saw Tiger get to 19 major championships, I have a hard time believing I can write those words with such ease).

For the record , here are a list of Tiger’s “sins” that make it impossible for me to continue with this web site.

He has had multiple affairs with sleazy women while married to the mother of his children and he has, to this date, not told the truth about them.

He has lied about the circumstances surrounding his accident in an arrogant and insulting fashion.

He has bailed on his own tournament and foundation just to shield himself from the media and lied about why he was doing doing so.
His silence to the police and the public has been an embarrassment to his fans and leaves us with no rational choice but to assume the very worst about what the truth really is.

In the end, this situation, like much of life is all about expectations. To whom much is given, much is expected. No one has ever been given more than Tiger and therefore our expectations for him were also unprecedented. He has failed to live up to those expectations and he has shattered a sacred trust that cannot be repaired.

Therefore, Tiger Woods now has at least one less supporter. I am quite sure that I am not alone.

Woods apology doesn’t change the equation

By Tim Dahlberg, AP Sports Columnist Dec 2, 8:02 pm EST

The billion dollars didn’t help one cent.

Tiger Woods couldn’t even get on his yacht “Privacy” and sail away somewhere to keep everyone from looking.

Larger than life one day, just another sinner the next.

No reason to talk about his quest to become the greatest golfer ever when the tabloids were offering up much juicier stuff for debate.

Does anyone care about the odds of Woods winning the Grand Slam when one offshore sports book is posting odds on whether he will admit to having an affair by the end of the year? (Not admitting was a 2-1 favorite.)

There has probably never been an athlete as celebrated as Woods. There has surely never been one who went from virtual deity to an overused punch line overnight.

He could have tested positive for steroids and life would have gone on much as it did before, as Alex Rodriguez found out every time he was cheered at the plate.

Begin having questions raised about your moral behavior, though, and things change.

There are those who draw the line there, especially if they feel they’ve been misled by the carefully crafted image they had of Woods as a good family man and father.

That’s why Woods came forward Wednesday with a statement he couldn’t have dreamed of making just a week ago. It came, as they all seem to do, from Woods’ official Web site, filed under the unlikely headline of “Tiger comments on current events.”

If you had been in a remote cave the last week, you might have thought he was giving his take on the health care debate or the war in Afghanistan. Instead, he was offering up remorse and regret for his “transgressions.”

“I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves,” Woods said. “I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect.”

Very far short, if you believe the claims of Jaimee Grubbs, who told Us Weekly magazine said she carried on a 31-month affair with Woods.

If it’s true, perfect husbands don’t start hanging around in Las Vegas with a cocktail waitress two months before their wife is about to give birth to their first child. Perfect people don’t leave urgent voice mail messages like the one Woods allegedly left for Grubbs last week.

Just what Woods did or didn’t do with Grubbs, or another woman the National Enquirer alleged was involved with him, likely will be good fodder on the Internet for some time. Woods, who spent more time addressing his right to privacy than his personal shortcomings in the statement, admitted to nothing other than letting his family down.

Indeed, if only he had stayed in the house that night, there’s a good chance we wouldn’t have paid much attention.

What was known even before the scandal broke was that Woods had a thing for all things Vegas, a town where fantasy eclipses reality and where the whims of the super rich and famous are famously tended to.

“We heard stories and knew when he was in town,” said Norm Clarke, the gossip columnist for the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “What Vegas offered was a controlled environment to stay under the radar. You can sign people to confidentiality contracts but they still talk, especially in this town.”

Loving life in Vegas isn’t a crime, of course. And so far the only thing Woods has done legally wrong is drive badly.

But what happens when he returns to the golf course to play before large crowds? With the moral card now in play, will they—women, especially—still cheer everything he does?

The early returns aren’t encouraging. While Tiger was once the gold standard among all athletes, there are signs that the media frenzy is taking a toll.

Zeta Interactive, which measures Internet buzz on various topics, says the tone of postings on Woods went from being 91 percent positive and 9 percent negative before the accident to 74 percent positive and 26 percent negative afterward.

That’s not enough to cost Woods any of his big-name sponsors. Barring more allegations, it’s probably not even enough for Phil Mickelson to steal many of his fans.

More intriguing, meanwhile, is whether Woods will be the same player when he returns.
Will the famous Tiger glare and fist pump still be enough to intimidate opponents when they’ve seen his most vulnerable side? Will he be able to maintain his equally famous powers of concentration when the talk about him isn’t all about golf and the paparazzi still tail him home every night?
Woods may already be asking himself the same questions. He’s always been able to deal with distractions, but he’s never had one like this.
Yes, it’s hard to imagine. But in the end, his greatness could become the biggest casualty of all.

John Paul II’s partner saint St. Josemaria buys Hollywood

Mr Joffé, whose past work includes The Killing Fields and The Mission, has been given rare access to the society's archives for his research.

But claims that the organisation provided funds for the project have been denied.
The film, to be shot in Argentina and Spain, is reportedly set to star Charlie Cox, the British actor.

It will focus on the early years of St Josemariá Escrivá's career as a priest, charting his progress through the Spanish Civil War.

But it is around the organisation's ambiguous links with the Franco regime in Spain after the civil war that much of the controversy centres.

The organisation denies having "supported" Franco, although several of his ministers were members.

Opus Dei was portrayed as a sinister sect in The Da Vinci Code but enjoyed a surge of interest in its activities as a result.
Last year it sponsored a children's cartoon in Italy to help improve its image.

In Britain, the Ruth Kelly, the former Transport Secretary, is among the best known members.

John Paul II’s saint-factory ruined by Opus Dei

John Paul II went on to beatify and canonize more than 1,500 dead persons and he did not spend one minute with one of the 12,000 American victims of his John Paul II Pedophile Priests Army. John Paul II did not have the charity of Mother Teresa of Calcutta but Opus Dei is showing - his photo with her - as if they have the same charity. That shows the deceptive ways and means of Opus Dei. John Paul II and St. Josemaria Escriva did not have the charity of Mother Teresa of Calcutta

Pope John Paul II was one of the greatest men of the 20th century and a very strong candidate for canonisation. But I can’t get excited about his fast-tracking to sainthood because I’ve lost confidence in the whole saint-making process. Why? Two words: Opus Dei.

Opus Dei founder Josemaria Escriva

Sadly, it was Pope John Paul who “reformed” the canonisation procedures in ways that made them easier to be manipulated. And one thing Opus Dei is very good at is manipulation.

The founder of this movement, a pious but power-obsessed Spaniard named Josemaria Escriva, died as recently as 1975. He was canonised in 2002 ie, far, far too quickly for the Church to have assessed his controversial reputation.

Indeed, it didn’t really try. After John Paul II abolished the post of devil’s advocate, it became easier for the promoters of Causes to sweep inconvenient testimony under the Vatican carpet. Which is what happened in the case of St Josemaria, as alas we must learn to call him.

One of the priests who knew Escriva best, Mgr Vladimir Felzmann, left Opus Dei and has since claimed that “the Father”, as he is called, was a crashing snob with Nazi sympathies and also secretly bugged people, Nixon-style. You may or may not believe him, but the fact that he was refused permission to give evidence to the saint-making tribunal is a disgrace.

I admit that I personally dislike Opus Dei. Most of its 87,000 members who try to sanctify everyday life by practising spiritual perfection as they go about their ordinary tasks are admirable people. But the organisation gives me the creeps.
It claims not to be secretive, yet Ruth Kelly will not even confirm that she is a member of it. (She is.) It goes about building influence in suspiciously quiet ways both in the Vatican and, for a time at least, in Archbishop’s House, Westminster.
Fortunately Benedict XVI, although he praises Opus Dei, isn’t nearly as keen on the group as his predecessor was. In this, as in so many other respects, the Church is very fortunate in the Holy Spirit’s choice of Pope.

Comments

I find Opus Dei creepy, but I find the subjectivism of Damian Thompson that would hold Church and Holy Spirit hostage to his personal nihil obstat just as creepy.

John Paul II went to kneel at St. Josemaria's dying bed

No pope in history has ever done that. St. Ignatius of Loyola sent one of the Jesuits to ask for the pope’s blessing before he died. But the pope never went to his dying bed. John Paul II accorded to St. Josemaria Escriva what no pope has ever done in the history of Catholicism. So now, the Opus Dei is growing in numbers as they carry out the WORLD DOMINATION PLAN of St. Josemaria Escriva, note, his plan, not Jesus Christ’s plan, not even the papal plan. And Benedict XVI is in a hurry to beatify and canonize John Paul II so that the Opus Dei can say to everyone: St. Josemaria and St. John Paul II.

Opus Dei want to portray a positive image to the world so they can keep recruiting naïve wealthy professional. Thanks to ODAN, they cannot go on deceiving the world as they would like to do. Here is a book to read to know the truth of Opus Dei: Inside the Hell of Opus Dei

A mother of nine has lifted the lid on Opus Dei, the controversial Catholic organisation featured in Dan Brown's best-selling novel The Da Vinci Code, which portrayed it as a mysterious and cult-like -institution.

Véronique Duborgel re-counts in a new book, Inside the Hell of Opus Dei, the 13 years she spent as a member of the group, which she describes as rigid, insensitive, sectarian and misogynistic.

The 44-year-old kindergarten teacher describes techniques of psychological isolation similar to those sometimes used by sects, and claims that Opus Dei intrudes into the most intimate areas of members' private lives, encourages them to inform on each other and drains their financial resources.

Mrs Duborgel writes that she was instructed not to tell family or friends that she was a member of Opus Dei.

"I was told they might ask awkward questions and it would avoid family conflicts if they didn't know," she told The Sunday Telegraph.

She had also been told to drop friends who had no inclination to join the organisation. Each year she was required to give the names of three friends, known as St Joseph's List, whom she would have to try to persuade to join Opus Dei over the next 12 months.

Members were encouraged to look upon each other as "a family", but Mrs Duborgel said she was forbidden to share intimate confidences with her "sisters" – other female members of Opus Dei. Instead, she had to discuss personal matters with a spiritual director, "someone we had not chosen and whom we were obliged to report to."

Members were instructed to appear joyful, even when sad or depressed. "It was a form of psychological isolation," she said, adding that she had survived by concealing the existence of some friends she made through her children's school. "With them I could talk about the normal stuff, but I was obliged to live a double life, otherwise I would have got my knuckles rapped," she said.

Every 15 days, Mrs Duborgel's spiritual director questioned her about her faith, and occasionally about the most intimate details of her marriage. "Once she warned me not to buy sexy underwear because it led men into temptation," she added.

She added that her spiritual director also asked her to spy on other women to find out if they used contraception – labelled a sin by the Catholic Church. She refused, but was denounced by fellow members for crossing her legs at Mass ("disrespectful and immodest"), for wearing trousers ("too provocative") and for not wearing enough make-up.

On being upbraided because she had not re-dyed her hair, she objected that she had never done so, but was told the unfounded reprimand had been "good for her humility".
"I realised then that Opus Dei was more about humiliation than humility," she said.

When Mrs Duborgel confided to two Opus Dei priests that her then husband, a 48-year-old former university professor who now lives in a monastery, beat and insulted her, she was told: "It's your cross, you must bear it."

Opus Dei has opted to turn the other cheek over Mrs Duborgel's book. A spokeswoman, Beatrice de la Coste, said: "We sympathise with the suffering expressed in this work. It gives us great sadness. This woman was not sufficiently listened to."

The organisation would not pursue the author or the book legally, she said, adding: "We are not going to attack someone who is suffering."

"I am not suffering at all," retorted Mrs Duborgel. "The suffering was when I was in Opus Dei."

Mrs Duborgel was drawn into the organisation by her future husband, who kept his own membership secret until after she joined. She says the secrecy governing Opus Dei is illustrated by a Latin prayer, which members must recite daily on their knees. "I was told to learn it off by heart so if I was surprised by anyone there would be no written trace of the prayer," she said.

The couple gave €400 (£275) a month and a bigger contribution at Christmas to Opus Dei, whose worth is estimated to be £1.4?billion. "We were told to consider Opus Dei as an extra child we had to support. But it cost me more than all my children put together," said Mrs Duborgel, who lives in Strasbourg with six of her nine children.

The Da Vinci Code vividly portrays the practice of "corporal mortification" by Silas the Albino, the murderous, self-flagellating monk, but Mrs Duborgel said she was encouraged only to take cold showers and forego treats.

"Dan Brown's novel is not very accurate about the organisation of Opus Dei, but where he got it exactly right is in his portrayal of a group who are prepared to do anything to maintain their power."

The last straw came at an Opus Dei conference at which a senior member said women were the equals of dogs. "He was not joking," she said.

She finally summoned up the courage to leave in 1996 when her husband, who opposed her plan, was away. From her anger at her treatment, her book was born – a book she expects Opus Dei members will be forbidden to read.

Remembering John Paul II and Pearl Harbor

Remembering John Paul II Millstone and Pearl Harbor

Every year we remember the 5,000 victims of Pearl Harbor, therefore, we should also remember the 12,000 American victims of the John Paul II Pedophile Priests Army http://jp2army.blogspot.com/

Today marks the anniversary of Japan's attack on the naval base in Hawaii.

Regardless of your age, or your interest in World War II, a visit to Pearl Harbor Hawaii is an extremely emotional experience. There are many war memorials across America, but there's something truly different here. At 7:55 on the sunny morning of Sunday, December 7, 1941, 183 Japanese warplanes swooped out of a cloudless sky and demolished the US Pacific fleet docked at Pearl Harbor. It was this single catastrophic event, not the invasion of Poland, the Battle of Britain or the persecution of the Jews, that finally dragged the United States into World War II.

Compare the CRIMES and their VICTIMS in America

Victims - Attackers - Responsible Leader

Pearl Harbor - 3,000 victims - 170 planes - Admiral Yamamoto

WTC & 9/11 attacks - 5,000 victims - 19 Muslims - Osama bin Laden

USA Priest Pedophilia - 12,000 victims - 6,000 priests - John Paul II

PEARL HARBOR, Hawaii - Dozens of survivors of Pearl Harbor on Monday solemnly remembered those who died in the Japanese aerial assault 68 years ago as a top Navy commander said their bravery laid the foundation for the subsequent U.S. victory in World War II.

About 2,000 servicemen and women and members of the general public joined the survivors. The crowd looked out on the spot where the USS Arizona sank in the first minutes of the attack, killing 1,177 people. Almost 1,000 people are still entombed on the battleship.

To some, the service has taken on great poignancy given the fact that U.S. troops are risking their lives in the more recent conflicts of Iraq and Afghanistan. Last week, President Barack Obama issued orders to send another 30,000 troops to Afghanistan.

"It's the same thing all over again," said 89-year-old Richard Laubert, of Phoenix, Ore., who was a pharmacist mate at the Naval hospital at the time of the attack. "I just thought when we were doing the war that would be it for the rest of time. But it seems like we just never solve anything."

Sterling Cale, 88, said chills ran down his back as he remembered picking up wounded sailors and bodies from the water when he was a Navy corpsman 68 years ago.

"I was in the water there and picked up 46 people in four hours," Cale said. He recalled having to swim mostly underwater because diesel fuel leaking from the ships caught fire.

John Hughes, who was a Marine serving at Ewa Field, a West Oahu air station on Dec. 7, 1941, choked up when he was asked what was going through his mind.

Valor, sacrifice

"You think back about what happened," said Hughes, as a tear trickled down his cheek. The 90-year-old flew to Hawaii from Santa Ana, Calif. for the ceremony.

Adm. Patrick Walsh, U.S. Pacific Fleet commander, said the valor and selfless sacrifice of that morning defined the Navy. The way Navy recovered from the attack "charted a path for a wounded nation," he added.

"It's important to remember what those who serve experience in the hours that follow tragedy," Walsh said. "It's their biography that inspires us and gives us the strength, the commitment, the character and the resilience for the fights that we have ahead of us."

The youngest survivors are now about 85 years old, and their numbers are dwindling.

Laubert said he hopes to return for the 69th anniversary next year. The Pearl Harbor Survivors Association says the 2010 observance may mark their last gathering given the age of their members.

"When you get to 90, your chances are thinning out," Laubert said.

New visitors center

By next year, the National Park Service plans to finish construction on a $58 million new visitors center near the Arizona memorial. The current center, which was built on reclaimed land in 1980, is sinking.

It also takes in twice as many visitors each day than it was designed to hold. People must often squeeze by one another to view photos and maps in the small exhibit hall.

The new center will be triple the size, allowing the park service to explain the history of the attack in greater detail, including how Japanese and Americans perceived each other in 1941.

Among the themes, said Daniel Martinez, the park's chief historian, would be: "How did these great countries that had been friends become mortal enemies?"
